I’ve been debating this issue for years on the Internet. Usually I’m outnumbered. Every one of my comments is meet with a dozen defenders of semi automatic weapons, large clips, and sales without background checks. I explain to them that I own guns, have a carry permit, and support the Second Amendment. They don’t believe me.
Robert Ingersol was the greatest orator in American history. In honor of his August birthday, here are a few of his words to ponder and cherish. I need say no more.

Wildfires raging in Colorado are now eating away at the city of Colorado Springs. At least one person is dead, 346 homes and 34 streets have been destroyed, and thousands of people have been evacuated – although, this being Colorado Springs(see below), I am not sure what exactly those evacuation efforts entailed, other than people simply running for their lives.

The deadline for the review of TransCanada's permits for the Gulf Coast portion of the Keystone XL pipeline was Monday, June 25, 2012. At the Texas Army Corp of Engineers Galveston office and without any finalization of review, those permits will be automatically granted to the corporation - thanks to President Obama's announcement that he would expedite the southern leg of the pipeline in Cushing, Oklahoma, back in March.
If there’s an enzyme that regulates concern for how one is perceived by the general public, my levels are dangerously low. Add that to my tendency to choose a logical (to me) solution despite the hair-pulling, eye-bulging frustration of my companions, and I’m pretty sure I’m a sociopath.

The only people who oppose the cultivation of industrial hemp are anti-cannabis bureaucracies, politicians, drug-testing companies and U.S. law enforcement.
